This an affordable holiday home recently constructed in Augusta, Western Australia. The house picks up on the fibro beach shack aesthetic of the area and compliements the holiday homes of the area, The house uses lightweight construction with SIPS and Magnesium-Oxide sandwhich panels to create a rigid, well insulated structure. The passive heating/cooling of the house draws from data collected from the Augusta Beach House, with good northern sun exposure and ample cross ventillation. The house also has a deck that is sheltered from the prevailing winds. The house exploits a beautiful view up the Blackwood River.
