Peter Hunt Architect - 2008

After graduating from Curtin University I took up work at Peter Hunt Architect in West Perth, Western Australia. The project I spent the most time on was the Bunbury Library. I was responsible for detailing all the interior cabinetry. The more interesting elements in the cabinetry package included a display case constructed from Jarrah beams recovered from the demolished earlier library, and a children’s library that allowed for whimsical shapes and colours. The building received a Commendation for Public Buildings by the Western Australian branch of the Australian Institute of Architects in 2009.
